P. M\u00f8ller Maersk, Bertelsmann or the Tata group. This <\/span><span style=\"text-indent: -0.38in; font-size: 12pt; font-family: Calibri; color: black;\">special combination of charity and business is not uncommon in Northern Europe, but we know relatively little about them.\u00a0 This site is dedicated to a research project which will try to shed some light on them \u2013 how many there are, how they are regulated, how they influence the companies that they own and so on. The Danish foundation-owned companies\u00a0 employ more than 300.000 people. The project will\u00a0 present results quarterly or biannually in terms of working papers, reports and open seminars.\u00a0The project was organized by the Center for Corporate Governance, Copenhagen Business School.
